These low carb diets allow you to have some fruits and a lot of vegetables (except starchy ones like potatoes, which should only be enjoyed once in a while and in moderation). They also encourage you to have whole grains and foods made with whole wheat.
The best thing to ensure success on a low carbohydrate diet is to buy a book on the diet you choose and read it before you start the plan. Then if you start that particular diet, follow it to the letter so you can stay healthy. Find which low carbohydrate diets suit you.
