Low Carb Diet Food
When it comes to low carb diet food, there are many recipes out there. Just because it is called low carb diet food, doesn't mean it has to taste horrible. It's hard to find low carb diet foods, but when you do, you might be pleasantly surprised. There's a lot of great tasting low carb diet food that tastes just as good as normal food. Italian Skillet Pork Chops
Four 6 oz. pork chops
Four green pepper rings
1/2 cup sliced green onions
14 oz. can of tomatoes
1 teaspoon of oregano
2 teaspoons basil leaves
Salt and pepper (optional)
Garlic powder (optional)
1/2 cup water
Instructions:
1. Cover a large skillet with the non-stick cooking spray.
2. Trim edges of fat off pork chops and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder.
3. Cook pork chops till brown on one side in skillet.
4. Cut up canned tomatoes; stir in oregano, basil and additional salt and pepper.
5. Flip chops over, and top each chop with one green pepper ring.
6. Divide green onion between chops and place inside pepper ring.
7. Pour tomatoes and juice on chops, retaining one quarter of the tomatoes within the green pepper ring on each chop.
8. Add water to skillet and let simmer for one hour covered.
9. Lift out each chop, draining liquids before serving.
This is just one low carb diet food that sounds too good to be true. By using low carb recipes you can have the joy of eating great while not feeling guilty.
